Brandi Marshall, FAFS, ACSM HFSBrandi Marshall, FAFS

• Gray Institute Fellow of Applied Functional Science
• Certified FRC Practitioner
• Certified American Council on Exercise Group Fitness Instructor
• Seven courses in Functional Soft Tissue Transformation

For the past 25 years, Brandi Marshall has been helping people reach their health and fitness goals through movement and nutrition. Her innate belief that Mother Nature knows best, and subsequent passion for holistic health, led her to obtain her B.S. in Nutritional Science from Pepperdine University in 1992. To her dismay, her formal education did not provide her with the holistic, nature-based education she desired. Happy for the science that she had learned, but left feeling a little empty after graduating, Brandi turned to her other passion, dance-based movement and human physiology, and pursued a full time career as a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Fitness Trainer. Understanding the importance of balancing proper nutrition and movement, Brandi continued to study both avenues, applying nature based principles to her client’s programs and educating her client’s along the way…

Then the big life changer hit. In December of 2010, Brandi was stopped nearly dead (literally) in her healthy tracks with a bacterial infection in her blood stream. This systemic infection created incredible stress to her body. Acute blood clotting disorders, multiple organ failure, and necrosis of tissues in her limbs, resulting in the removal of skin and underlying tissue in both lower legs, were some of the complications she was dealing with. The prognosis was grim. IF she survived, she would most certainly be subject to a life of weakness, fatigue, and susceptibility to further illness…. or at least that is the impression she was subtly given by many of her healthcare providers.

Thankful to survive the immediate threat to her life, Brandi was determined to bring her health back to her highest level possible. Digging deep into her core belief of nature knowing best, and having a tremendous support team of professionals, family, and friends to work with her, through her recovery Brandi renewed her passion for studying whole food nutrition and movement (including body work) to promote circulation and healing. Additionally, special study and practice was made in the areas of detoxification and balancing lifestyle behaviors to create the environment for optimal healing to take place. It must be noted that this could not have happened without the unwavering support and encouragement of Brandi’s partner and soulmate, Lenny.

Today, Brandi continues her self-study. Her vitality is even better than before her illness. She works with clients on a daily basis. Her passion is higher than ever in sharing her knowledge and experience with others. Her life work is to educate and encourage others to take command of their health by understanding the basic essentials that are required for optimal individual health.

As your Integrative Practitioner, Brandi helps you reclaim your highest health and vitality potential. From her experience, she attests that your potential is much higher that you know, you just need the desire to unlock it!
